Celebrate the start of the fall season with the Office of Student Involvement at Fall Fest. This is event will feature various festive activities surely to get you and your family in the fall spirit.

UIC Women’s Volleyball vs. Bradley University

UIC Theatre Presents “Fefu and Her Friends” 

*Separate ticket required – information will be shared with attendees who select this event.

Come be a fly on the wall of one of the most influential feminist plays of the 20th Century. Known for its groundbreaking style of conversational realism with moments of absurdism, FEFU AND HER FRIENDS features a group of women who gather at FEFU’s country house in the 1930’s to party, swap ideas and possibly launch a revolution. Cuban-born American playwright Maria Irene Fornes intended for audiences of FEFU to go on a journey – literally – as the audience will leave their seats in Part 2 and move to other locations to eavesdrop as the women argue, gossip, and confess their anxieties and desires in the struggle to navigate a world dominated by men.

*Recommended for audiences 13 years of age and above*

2023 Bank of America Chicago Marathon – UIC Spirit Station

Cheer on the runners of the Chicago Marathon as they pass by the University of Illinois Chicago. Join Sparky, the UIC Pep Band, and members of the UIC Family as we cheer for the marathon participants!

Virtual 5K

This event welcomes people of all ages and abilities – walkers, beginning runners, competitive runners, children, stroller-pushers, and everyone in between. Whether you’re trying to beat your personal best or going out for a leisurely jog, make sure to get moving with UIC Family Weekend 5K! However you choose to complete your 3.1 miles (walk, jog, run, etc), make sure to record it using a fitness tracker of your choice. You can use the UIC Recreation Center to complete your 5K or if you have a preferred route at home, that works too! Finish your route between October 6-8 and upload a screenshot of your results a link the link that will be included in the Family Weekend Reminder email (sent 48 hours before the event). Those who are registered for Family Weekend, complete the 5K, and upload their results will receive an official FAMILY WEEKEND 5K shirt! Virtual 5K completes will be notified when shirts are available for pickup following Family Weekend.

While we have activities planned for students and their families throughout the weekend, we encourage you to take advantage of all Chicago has to offer!

The Religious Workers Association (RWA) at UIC is comprised of campus groups and foundations with professional staff committed to serving students’ religious and spiritual needs in an open, non-proselytizing environment.
