*Please read the following information before registering for a session. During this session, students will learn about the LARES services available for their transition to the university and academic success. Students will also prepare for their orientation program and next steps of enrollment at UIC. The topics discussed during the session include - an overview of the UIC student portal, - understanding the degree audit, - navigating the course registration tool, - preparing for academic advising, - reviewing financial aid and payment options, and - discussing tips for making the most out of the orientation experience and first semester at UIC! This session is intended for newly admitted fall 2024 students. The LARES Transfer and Thrive Session does not replace the UIC New Student Advising and Registration Session or Orientation program. All new transfer students are required to attend both. Students who attend the LARES Transfer and Thrive Session will have the opportunity to win a gift card to the UIC Bookstore!
