Description

**The location for this event was previously the ARC Think Tank. It has been moved to Daley Library conference room 1-470 (back right corner on the first floor).**

Taking place the first Monday of each month from 11am-1pm, this regular service opportunity allows students to give back while they are on campus. This enables students who don't have the time or resources to serve in other ways to still contribute to community organizations. Projects are usually hands-on and involve making something. Make your Mondays matter!

For October's opportunity, we are partnering with campus organization Blood Buds! They are an initiative that aims to make sustainable menstruation accessible through education, community, & action. Join Blood Buds as we sew re-usable pads for communities around the Chicagoland area who are experiencing difficulties accessing period products. During the event, we will also talk about period poverty, advocacy, and the benefits of sustainable menstruation.

Volunteers are able to drop in during the service project when they can, but will need to be preregistered for the project in order to attend even for a portion of the event. All volunteers will need to check in upon arrival and show their UIC Daily Pass in order to verify compliance with UIC's COVID policies, and will need to wear a mask throughout their service.
